The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kurt Hellgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Otto Hamberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Lilja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Ferm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfred Käcker in the 17th minute of play forced Barca Boys's goalkeeper Otto Hamberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Jönsson hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the match, Barca Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Käcker came free, but Otto Hamberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurt Hellgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manfred Käcker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Hamberg having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Barca Boys's zone, Kurt Hellgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otto Hamberg came out of the goal and Kurt Hellgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kurt Hellgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31stth minute of the game Manfred Käcker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barca Boys's Otto Hamberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manfred Käcker in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otto Hamberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jörn Löfgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eric Lilja having to make a save. Jörn Löfgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Lilja having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 51st match minute, FBI Tullinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Jönsson to maneuver through the defense. Håkan Bokelund's late challenge caught a FBI Tullinge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Håkan Bokelund helped the player get up and apologised. Håkan Bokelund kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Kurt Hellgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Otto Hamberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Kurt Hellgren struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Otto Hamberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FBI Tullinge. In the 73rd minute, Stig-Åke Bodin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eric Lilja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Ferm, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Jörn Löfgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kurt Hellgren scored 1-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Otto Hamberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute of the match FBI Tullinge got a corner. Barca Boys's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jörgen Bäckström ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FBI Tullinge's Jörgen Bäckström to fire away a dangerous shot which Otto Hamberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 93rd minute Manfred Käcker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Hamberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th match minute, FBI Tullinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Åke Bodin to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
