Malcolm Forsell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olle Telin, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Johnny Hägglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Forsell having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Södra Trögds IK's zone, Robin Vallengren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Malcolm Forsell came out of the goal and Robin Vallengren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 17 played minutes Södra Trögds IK got a freekick which was hit by Dick Biörk. After a rather tough play, Södra Trögds IK's Kenneth Stensson got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Johnny Hägglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Robin Vallengren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Täfteå's supporters rose to their feet, but Robin Vallengren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malcolm Forsell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Täfteå's Jonny Sandwall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Ekgren in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute Johnny Hägglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Forsell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kenneth Stensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Jonny Sandwall made a huge save. Olle Telin kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Södra Trögds IK's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Hägglund came free, but Malcolm Forsell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Malcolm Forsell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Vallengren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Kenneth Stensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andy Ekgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee gave Södra Trögds IK a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jan Kihlman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Täfteå's Jonny Sandwall. 1-0. In the 61st minute, Johnny Hägglund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Johnny Hägglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olle Telin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malcolm Forsell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Vallengren in the 67th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Robin Vallengren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Malcolm Forsell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Malcolm Forsell came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Täfteå's Johnny Hägglund. But to his dismay, Johnny Hägglund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 98th minute, Kenneth Stensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malcolm Forsell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johnny Hägglund in the 99th minute. Täfteå's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
