Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Georg Strömberg got free with Edwin Asmundsson in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gällnöby IF's goalkeeper Edwin Asmundsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 9 minutes into the game, Dick Harman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Väring FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gällnöby IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Väring FF's Dick Harman got a free kick in the 9th minute. Örjan Kolberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Beckeman having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils Ekström in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bo Beckeman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Edwin Asmundsson managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Väring FF's Georg Strömberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Örjan Kolberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Bo Beckeman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Gällnöby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Kjellqvist came free, but Edwin Asmundsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. John Lööf kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Georg Strömberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute Örjan Kolberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Beckeman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Lööf hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 37thth minute of the game Stig-Åke Kjellqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gällnöby IF's Edwin Asmundsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edwin Asmundsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Åke Kjellqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The supporters of Gällnöby IF booed when Väring FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. August Viklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nils Ekström to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Gällnöby IF got a freekick which was hit by Göran Spetz. Georg Strömberg struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Edwin Asmundsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Väring FF. The audience was convinced that Georg Strömberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edwin Asmundsson was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Edwin Asmundsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Kjellqvist in the 57th minute of the match. Gällnöby IF's Edwin Asmundsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georg Strömberg in the 62nd minute of play. Edwin Asmundsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Kjellqvist in the 63rd minute of the match. Bo Beckeman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Ekström in the 66th minute of the match. Väring FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Åke Kjellqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Georg Strömberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Edwin Asmundsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gällnöby IF's zone, Georg Strömberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edwin Asmundsson came out of the goal and Georg Strömberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90 played minutes Gällnöby IF got a freekick which was hit by Axel Sjöman. Georg Strömberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Väring FF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
