Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when David Beckström made the kick off which started today's match. Andreas Överman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sonny Lindblom, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Gigant's zone, Rune Kilman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Överman came out of the goal and Rune Kilman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Bodin in the 14th minute of play forced Överkalix IFK's goalkeeper Kurt Göransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Kilman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18thth minute of the game Rune Kilman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Gigant's Andreas Överman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andreas Överman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Kilman in the 21st minute of the match. If Rune Kilman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Göransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Britz, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sonny Lindblom during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sonny Lindblom hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Rune Kilman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Andreas Överman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Axel Stålman had several of the FC Gigant's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Andreas Överman as he didn't even see the shot coming. Vilhelm Flinck's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Andreas Överman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sonny Lindblom blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andreas Överman having to make a save. If Vilhelm Flinck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Stålmans short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Andreas Överman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vilhelm Flinck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Överkalix IFK were furious when Ingvar Wallmark was red carded, 51 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The goalkeeper, Kurt Göransson, was totally fooled by FC Gigant's Philip Ferm, who 53 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Axel Stålman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 59 minutes, Axel Stålman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Överkalix IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Stålman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Överkalix IFK's goalkeeper Kurt Göransson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dan Britz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Stålman in the 66th minute of play forced FC Gigant's goalkeeper Andreas Överman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Stig Stenström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Överman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kurt Göransson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dan Britz in the 70th minute. Axel Stålman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andreas Överman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Stålman in the 73rd minute of the match. After 74 minutes, Verner Svanberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Överkalix IFK and the FC Gigant players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Överkalix IFK's Verner Svanberg got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 79th minute Rune Kilman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Överman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Gigant's Andreas Överman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Kilman in the 80th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Gigant's Börje Berg got a free kick in the 81st minute. Axel Stålman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Överman having to interfere. Sonny Lindblom might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andreas Överman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sonny Lindblom ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute, Axel Stålman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When David Beckström fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Gigant's protests and gave David Beckström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th match minute, FC Gigant was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Beckström to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Överkalix IFK players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
