Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, Fred Löfkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Conny Giliusson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Sten Holmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernt Stigsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Krister Linqvist having to make a save. In the 11th minute, Bernt Stigsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 12 played minutes Kullavik RK got a freekick which was hit by Arne Kullgren. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Bernt Stigsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. BR Saints's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernt Stigsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krister Linqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, Sven-Oskar Billvall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sten Holmgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Krister Linqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Krister Linqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sten Holmgren in the 20th minute. Krister Linqvist came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by BR Saints's Bernt Stigsson. But to his dismay, Bernt Stigsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Bernt Stigsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krister Linqvist having to interfere. With an all-out effort, BR Saints's Krister Linqvist threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bernt Stigsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind BR Saints's goalkeeper Conny Giliusson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd match minute, Kullavik RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Oskar Billvall to maneuver through the defense. Sten Holmgren came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Krister Linqvist could save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as BR Saints's Bernt Stigsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Krister Linqvist. That made the score 2-1 after 34 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sten Holmgren got free with Krister Linqvist in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute Bernt Stigsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krister Linqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes, Mats Bengtsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BR Saints and the Kullavik RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute, Mats Bengtsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sten Holmgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Krister Linqvist having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fred Löfkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Kullavik RK's Hjalmar Bergman got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 61st match minute, Kullavik RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hannes Lundin to maneuver through the defense. BR Saints's Sten Holmgren got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernt Stigsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Krister Linqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sten Holmgren struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Krister Linqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BR Saints. Sten Holmgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Krister Linqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rdth minute of the game Bernt Stigsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kullavik RK's Krister Linqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Krister Linqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats Bengtsson in the 75th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Kullavik RK's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Stigsson came free, but Krister Linqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Krister Linqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Holmgren in the 78th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Villiam Påk during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kullavik RK booed when BR Saints was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Villiam Påk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vilhelm Hegg charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vilhelm Hegg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adam Wennersten's late challenge caught a Kullavik RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adam Wennersten helped the player get up and apologised. Sten Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. BR Saints's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
