Oscar Täman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Hammarberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greger Alströmmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Greger Alströmmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Hammarberg having to interfere. After having played for 35 minutes, Bo Wallander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vagnhärad IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bo Wallander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Isac Biörkquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bo Wallander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Arne Björklund having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

David Hammarberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greger Alströmmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Vagnhärad IFK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
