Millwall's Anton Möller proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Millwall from getting a goal against them. After having played for 31 minutes, Nils-Erik Blomqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ekerö IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils-Erik Blomqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rdth minute of the game Bengt-Arne Åkerström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Millwall's Anton Möller was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anton Möller made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Nils-Erik Blomqvist sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Nils-Erik Blomqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anton Möller. Millwall's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nils-Erik Blomqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Ingvar Näver kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Ekerö IF's Nils-Erik Blomqvist was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 45th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Bengt-Arne Åkerström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. The Ekerö IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 95th minute, Nils-Erik Blomqvist made a precise shot to the right of Anton Möller. Millwall's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Ekerö IF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
