Ivar Lindström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wiktor Larsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Nils-Åke Lindsten made a huge save. Gilbert Viklund charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilbert Viklund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gilbert Viklund hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Robert Gummeson managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Göteborg's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Gummeson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Konrad Sjöman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the game, Per Boberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Party's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IFK Göteborg the free kick. A collision led to AC Party getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Per Boberg hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Ivar Lindström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Konrad Sjöman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Konrad Sjöman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivar Lindström, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Robert Gummeson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Göteborg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Gummeson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivar Lindström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konrad Sjöman having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Gummeson in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Konrad Sjöman saved AC Party from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robert Gummeson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Christopher Dahlberg put in a rough tackle. 56 minutes into the game, one of IFK Göteborg:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Nils-Åke Lindsten went to the wrong direction when Greger Hellbom was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a defensive mix-up in AC Party's zone, Ivar Lindström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konrad Sjöman came out of the goal and Ivar Lindström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivar Lindström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Konrad Sjöman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Jesper Östensson made a precise shot to the right of Konrad Sjöman. AC Party's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. IFK Göteborg's Staffan Hjortberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Per Boberg in the 67 minute of the game. IFK Göteborg's Jesper Östensson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sven-Erik Göransson, made in the 68th minute of the game. When Jesper Östensson came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the IFK Göteborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesper Östensson couldn't finish the play. Ivar Lindström in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Konrad Sjöman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Konrad Sjöman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivar Lindström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Staffan Hjortberg struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Konrad Sjöman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IFK Göteborg. 80 minutes into the game, Ivar Lindström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Konrad Sjöman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Albäck in the 84th minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Lindsten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Gert Lägdin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Göteborg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gert Lägdin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91stth minute of the game Ivar Lindström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC Party's Konrad Sjöman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 93 minutes into the match, AC Party's goal looked a bit too open when Ivar Lindström came free, but Konrad Sjöman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Arne Östlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konrad Sjöman having to interfere.
