Claes Kling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Stolpe in the 19th minute of the match. With 21 minutes on the clock, Kurt Vallgren commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Söder BK a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jens-Erik Lindholm, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hjärup's Claes Kling. 0-1. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Söder BK. Jens-Erik Lindholm stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Claes Kling. 0-2. August Jonasson scored 0-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claes Kling, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell August Jonasson to make the kick off. Ingvar Danielsson charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ingvar Danielsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd match minute, Hjärup was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Danielsson to maneuver through the defense. Claes Kling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from August Jonasson in the 59th minute of the match. August Jonasson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. Söder BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Stolpe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claes Kling breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Hjärup getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Paul Lundgren hit a great ball. In the 78th minute August Jonasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Kling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. August Jonasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 81st minute, Rickard Kilman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hjärup fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The crowd rose to their feet as August Jonasson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Claes Kling. That made the score 1-4 in the 86 minute of play. If Tomas Stolpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. August Jonasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Kling having to interfere. The Söder BK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Söder BK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
