Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Sten Vallgren started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Helsingborg FF's zone, Sten Vallgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Söderqvist came out of the goal and Sten Vallgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 11 minutes of play, Helsingborg FF's Stefan Hagberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fredrik Hurtig was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stefan Hagberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Fredrik Hurtig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Gustaf Kihlman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Fredrik Hurtig was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fredrik Hurtig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Hagberg in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Stefan Hagberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Helsingborg FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Fredrik Hurtig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Jakobsson in the 26th minute of the match. Fredrik Hurtig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaf Kihlman, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute Stefan Hagberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Hurtig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredrik Hurtig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaf Kihlman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Torgny Damm fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Helsingborg FF's protests and gave Torgny Damm a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Helsingborg FF getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Torgny Damm hit a great ball. Sten Vallgren charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sten Vallgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After the first half Helsingborg FF were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stefan Hagberg to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Säve's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Hagberg came free, but Fredrik Hurtig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fredrik Hurtig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Jakobsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaf Kihlman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Fredrik Hurtig managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Helsingborg FF's Gustaf Kihlman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaf Kihlman got free with Fredrik Hurtig in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 66 minutes into the match, Säve's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Hagberg came free, but Fredrik Hurtig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan Hagberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Fredrik Hurtig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaf Kihlman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fredrik Hurtig having to make a save. When Stefan Hagberg, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 73 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Fredrik Hurtig was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Säve's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Andreas Jakobsson 76 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. Gustaf Kihlman might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fredrik Hurtig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaf Kihlman ran back to his position shaking his head. Stefan Hagberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alf Möller's late challenge caught a Helsingborg FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alf Möller helped the player get up and apologised. Alf Möller hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
