Linköping's Ulf Bolin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henning Berglund in the 10th minute of play. Henning Berglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Bolin having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Leonard Moberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. CSKA Csardas's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonard Moberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulf Bolin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Linköping getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Wictor Lindholm hit a great ball. Linköping's Henrik Kling pulled a muscle in his leg after 24 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Evert Sjöström charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evert Sjöström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in CSKA Csardas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Isaac Jönsson, was totally fooled by Linköping's Wictor Lindholm, who 26 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Henning Berglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulf Bolin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Moberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bengt Östlund hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Linköping's Ulf Bolin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Moberg in the 42nd minute of play. Rickard Kiempe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Jönsson having to interfere. If Rickard Alegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonard Moberg to make the kick off. Linköping's Rickard Kiempe got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rickard Kiempe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rickard Alegren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th match minute, CSKA Csardas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattias Borre to maneuver through the defense. If Rickard Alegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Linköping's Zebastian Åberg got a free kick in the 75th minute. Mathias Vennersten missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 77 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ulf Bolin right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Rickard Alegren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linköping's supporters rose to their feet, but Rickard Alegren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaac Jönsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isaac Jönsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Kiempe in the 82nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henning Berglund got free with Ulf Bolin in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Moberg in the 91st minute of play forced Linköping's goalkeeper Ulf Bolin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute Leonard Moberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Bolin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Linköping's Rickard Alegren got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
