Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Linköping's Henrik Kling started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4thth minute of the game Rickard Alegren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frösön's Kurt Classon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kurt Classon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Kling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th match minute, Frösön was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Rolfsson to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Rickard Alegren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linköping's supporters rose to their feet, but Rickard Alegren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Classon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Kling in the 9th minute of play forced Frösön's goalkeeper Kurt Classon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rickard Kiempe fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Linköping's protests and gave Rickard Kiempe a yellow card for diving instead. Rickard Kiempe hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Vilhelm Göransson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ulf Bolin made a huge save. The supporters of Frösön booed when Linköping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Klemensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 minutes of play, Frösön's Vilhelm Göransson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulf Bolin was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 31 played minutes Frösön got a freekick which was hit by Gottfrid Landin. Ulf Bolin was a little too slow when Jan Lundgren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-1. After some careless play in the Frösön defense, Henrik Kling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kurt Classon. The Frösön fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kurt Classon should have stopped the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Rickard Alegren notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Frösön's Kurt Classon. Kurt Classon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jan Lundgren made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Olof Klemensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrik Kling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Classon having to interfere. With a little luck, Frösön's Kurt Classon got control of the ball when Rickard Alegren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rickard Alegren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Kurt Classon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rickard Alegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Frösön's zone, Rickard Alegren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt Classon came out of the goal and Rickard Alegren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Henrik Kling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Henrik Kling fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kurt Classon, passed just outside the right post. After 87 played minutes Henrik Kling rounded Frösön's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-4. In the 91st minute, Jan Lundgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Linköping's Ulf Bolin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilhelm Göransson in the 93rd minute of play. After 93 played minutes Linköping got a freekick which was hit by Rickard Kiempe. After 96 played minutes Frösön got a freekick which was hit by Gottfrid Landin. Linköping played a much better game than Frösön and deserved their victory. The Frösön players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
