In the 43rd minute Stig-Arne Alebäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc Hydén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The wind increased when Kenny Lindqvist made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl-Johan Lind got free with Yngve Andersson in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Kenny Lindqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC St Rizzia's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenny Lindqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Helge Hermansson's late challenge caught a Södertälje's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Helge Hermansson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Helge Hermansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 68 minutes, Jörn Hylander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Södertälje's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jörn Hylander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Karl-Johan Lind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 played minutes Södertälje got a freekick which was hit by Walter Nord. In the 75th minute, Kenny Lindqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 77 minutes, Tage Igelström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC St Rizzia and the Södertälje players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC St Rizzia's Marc Hydén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Arne Alebäck in the 78th minute of play. Patrik Björck kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Jörn Hylander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Södertälje's Jörn Hylander got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 85 played minutes FC St Rizzia got a freekick which was hit by Gustav Kjellberg. Jörn Hylander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Hydén having to interfere. Stig-Arne Alebäck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marc Hydén read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. If Karl-Johan Lind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
