Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tage Ekman made the kick off and thus started the match. Kalle Linqvist stood somewhat misplaced when Tage Ekman came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 4 minute. In the 7th minute, Jakob Björk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ljungbyholm IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 10 minutes into the match, Skälvik IK's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Björk came free, but Axel Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Frank Drewitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvald Hellström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ljungbyholm IF's zone, Alf Eriksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kalle Linqvist came out of the goal and Alf Eriksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alf Eriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Alf Eriksson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Tage Ekman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kalle Linqvist was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Ljungbyholm IF's zone, Tage Ekman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kalle Linqvist came out of the goal and Tage Ekman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Skälvik IK's Nils-Erik Öberg couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ljungbyholm IF. Alf Eriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Linqvist having to interfere. Alf Eriksson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Kalle Linqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alf Eriksson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Kalle Linqvist made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Drewitz to make the kick off. In the 56thth minute of the game Tage Ekman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ljungbyholm IF's Kalle Linqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jakob Björk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Axel Eriksson having to make a save. In the 63rd minute, one of Skälvik IK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Skälvik IK. Kalle Linqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Eriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Alf Eriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Kalle Linqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tage Ekman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 minutes of play, Skälvik IK's Alf Eriksson made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kalle Linqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Alf Eriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kalle Linqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvald Hellström in the 86th minute of play. When Skälvik IK's Tage Ekman in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ljungbyholm IF's goalie prevented a goal. Christian Söderman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kalle Linqvist. Ljungbyholm IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 95th minute Alf Eriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalle Linqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 minutes of play, Skälvik IK's Tage Ekman made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kalle Linqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the Skälvik IK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
