The referee gave Hemmingsmark a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joakim Beck, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Väderstad's Gunnar Sandberg. 0-1. Malte Lund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charlie Kellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Gunnar Sandberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Hemmingsmark booed when Väderstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Carlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Väderstad's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charlie Kellbom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jan-Ove Albohm during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Charlie Kellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Väderstad's Jan-Ove Albohm got a free kick in the 58th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Malte Lund notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Hemmingsmark's Michael Åberg. In the 88th minute, Malte Lund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Väderstad's goal looked a bit too open when Charlie Kellbom came free, but Gunnar Sandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
