Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sven-Ove Lingren kicked off to start the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Bo Brander kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Birger Göransson. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Ekeby's goalkeeper Birger Göransson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Markus Axelsson. Bo Brander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Birger Göransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Markus Axelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bo Brander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tjurkö IF booed when Ekeby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Edvin Vase didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Bo Brander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bo Brander might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Birger Göransson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bo Brander ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Sven-Ove Lingren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ekeby's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Ove Lingren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sakarias Eliasson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

In the 52nd minute, Sven-Ove Lingren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jon Mellbad fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tjurkö IF's protests and gave Jon Mellbad a yellow card for diving instead. Jon Mellbad kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. If Sven-Ove Lingren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tjurkö IF's Bo Brander managed to work through Ekeby's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bo Brander dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Sakarias Eliasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Ove Lingren in the 67th minute of play. A collision led to Tjurkö IF getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Joakim Kämpe hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute of the match Olof Brenner sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Birger Göransson skillfully saved the ball. 2-0 became the score in the 80th minute when Markus Axelsson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Birger Göransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Axelsson in the 84th minute of play. Birger Göransson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Markus Axelsson's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute Bo Brander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birger Göransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bo Brander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Göransson having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Tjurkö IF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
