Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) August Bäckström made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Veddige IFK's Billy Vestlund got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 12 minutes of play, IFK Hisingen's Sven-Erik Hedman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrick Lundgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th minute, Joakim Håkansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute of the match Gottfrid Hök shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Patrick Lundgren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Melker Askestät had several of the IFK Hisingen's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Kasper Persson as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rickard Vassenius hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Veddige IFK's Patrick Lundgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Einar Lindström in the 26th minute of play. If Einar Lindström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd match minute, IFK Hisingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rickard Vassenius to maneuver through the defense. Sten Sundling's late challenge caught a IFK Hisingen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sten Sundling helped the player get up and apologised. Sten Sundling kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Patrick Lundgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Einar Lindström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Erik Hedman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Patrick Lundgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. August Bäckström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Einar Lindström to make the kick off. The supporters of Veddige IFK booed when IFK Hisingen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Göransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 2-1 when August Bäckström sped through IFK Hisingen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kasper Persson. Eric Palmquist charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eric Palmquist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eric Palmquist hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Melker Askestät sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Rickard Vassenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Erik Hedman got free with Patrick Lundgren in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Veddige IFK's Patrick Lundgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Veddige IFK from getting a goal against them. When Melker Askestät came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Veddige IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melker Askestät couldn't finish the play.
