With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agne Bållström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Agne Bållström made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Urban Lundgren sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Melker Askestät got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Melker Askestät managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veddige IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Melker Askestät was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agne Bållström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If August Bäckström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Löfgren in the 77th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Melker Askestät got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. August Persson's late challenge caught a Veddige IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
