Downi FF's Kristian Österberg got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute Kristian Österberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredric Dahlqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jens-Erik Eckegren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Jim Billing sped through Överkalix IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fredric Dahlqvist. The audience was convinced that Jim Billing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fredric Dahlqvist was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Jens-Erik Eckegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Lindström having to interfere. Leonardo Albom kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Överkalix IF's Bo-Erik Blomqvist broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ulf Samuelsson hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Överkalix IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bo-Erik Blomqvist in the 76th minute. Leonardo Albom's late challenge caught a Överkalix IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonardo Albom helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Downi FF getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Leonardo Albom hit a great ball. Jens-Erik Eckegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alf Lindström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Stålman in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Jim Billing dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fredric Dahlqvist, 0-7. Jim Billing kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Jens-Erik Eckegren hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Downi FF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
