The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Obbola's zone, Lucas Finnman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Greger Alebäck came out of the goal and Lucas Finnman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Göran Sandell walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 20 minutes into the match, Svante Bremming had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Freddie Bokelund. Enskede's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Svante Bremming was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Finnman got free with Greger Alebäck in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Obbola booed when Enskede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Finnman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute Leo Hedbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Bokelund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Harman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st minute, one of Obbola:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Obbola.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Svante Bremming was the one to do the kick off. Greger Alebäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Kvalfält in the 56th minute of the match. Lucas Finnman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Greger Alebäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Obbola defense, Lucas Finnman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Greger Alebäck. The Obbola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Greger Alebäck should have stopped the shot. After 71 played minutes, Enskede's Bengt Lindholm shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Greger Alebäck came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Enskede reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bengt Lindholm during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Obbola booed when Enskede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 97thth minute of the game Charles Kvalfält who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Obbola's Greger Alebäck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Obbola's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
