Hammarby IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dyslexia Untied the free kick. Viktor Berggren kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Magnus Holmberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pål Bengtsson in the 30th minute of play forced Dyslexia Untied's goalkeeper Hans Hedlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans Hedlund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Björnsson went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Hammarby IF's Magnus Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Holm in the 44th minute of play. Magnus Holmberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Johnsson in the 45th minute. Anders Holm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Magnus Holmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Dyslexia Untied's Thomas Johnsson got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hammarby IF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
