Spectators: 5550 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 50) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fred Ivarsson got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th match minute, Hammarby IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthias Göransson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 5 minutes, Einar Andersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anderstorp FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Einar Andersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Anderstorp FK's Fred Ivarsson got a free kick in the 9th minute. Anderstorp FK's Gösta Ivarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Björnsson in the 12th minute of play. Magnus Holmberg came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Anderstorp FK's Fred Ivarsson. But to his dismay, Fred Ivarsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 24 minutes of play Hammarby IF's Matthias Göransson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Matthias Göransson kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Hammarby IF got a freekick which was hit by Lars Björnsson. Hammarby IF's Magnus Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Einar Andersson in the 29th minute of play. Lars Björnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Pål Bengtsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hammarby IF's zone, Einar Andersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magnus Holmberg came out of the goal and Einar Andersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Einar Andersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Magnus Holmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magnus Holmberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Einar Andersson's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pål Bengtsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Fred Ivarsson took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Magnus Holmberg to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fred Ivarsson in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Magnus Holmberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute, Hans Linberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pål Bengtsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Gösta Ivarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hammarby IF's Magnus Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Ivarsson in the 72nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Einar Andersson got free with Magnus Holmberg in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Einar Andersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Magnus Holmberg made a huge save. With his leg Magnus Holmberg managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Anderstorp FK's Einar Andersson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fred Ivarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Holmberg having to interfere. The Hammarby IF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Anderstorp FK's performance. The match ended with a win for Anderstorp FK.
