After 14 minutes, Gottfrid Bergkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Örebrotravets SK and the Flying Colours players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute of the match Folke Öberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Morgan Ahlroth skillfully saved the ball. Oskar Lundgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Oskar Lundgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oskar Lundgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jack Högström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flying Colours's Alvin Fransson got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 36 played minutes Örebrotravets SK got a freekick which was hit by Orvar Boberg. Alvin Fransson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morgan Ahlroth having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Alvin Fransson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flying Colours's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvin Fransson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Håkan Hafström's late challenge caught a Örebrotravets SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Håkan Hafström helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes Flying Colours got a freekick which was hit by Håkan Hafström. Wilhelm Åström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oskar Lundgren to make the kick off. Örebrotravets SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilhelm Åström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
