The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Gustaf Olsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Birger Holmgren was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 40th minute Georg Wester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Tingelholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Markus Tingelholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Finsberg in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Georg Wester made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Rune Finsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gustaf Olsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Millwall FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaf Olsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birger Holmgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harry Skoglund got free with Birger Holmgren in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Georg Wester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 played minutes Salbohed got a freekick which was hit by Rune Finsberg. Harry Skoglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 90thth minute of the game Georg Wester who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Millwall FC's Markus Tingelholm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Millwall FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Salbohed.
