Fuel BK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Bengt Holm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. Egil Stenström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Benett having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Jens-Erik Forss managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avesta's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens-Erik Forss was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Benett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt Holm in the 87th minute of play forced Fuel BK's goalkeeper Dan Benett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
