An unexpectedly hard shot by Sören Möllgren in the 28th minute of play forced Stjärnhov IF's goalkeeper Elias Öberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Sören Möllgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elias Öberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt Holm in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Bengt Holm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elias Öberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Avesta's Ulf Böcklund got a free kick in the 44th minute. Filiph Alkvist didn't quite understand what happened when in the 46 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joachim Böcklund was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Stjärnhov IF defense, Sören Möllgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Öberg. The Stjärnhov IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Öberg should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Stjärnhov IF getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Filip Jakobsson hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Sören Möllgren got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Tobias Hagberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 played minutes Avesta got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Erik Forss. Bengt Holm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Elias Öberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 70 minutes, Bengt Holm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avesta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bengt Holm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elias Öberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bengt Holm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Öberg having to interfere.
