After a rather tough play, Helsingborgs IF's Mark Biörk got a free kick in the 8th minute. Alexander Stål showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rikard Ekgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, Birger Mellberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexander Stål was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Helsingborgs IF's zone, Albert Helander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Svante Åström came out of the goal and Albert Helander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lebanon's Rasmus Sandberg in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Helsingborgs IF's goalie prevented a goal. Svante Åström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rasmus Sandberg in the 24th minute. A nice corner shot did that Rasmus Sandberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Svante Åström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Svante Åström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Helander, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Alexander Stål showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Biörk in the 45th minute of the match. When Rikard Ekgren came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Helsingborgs IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rikard Ekgren couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rasmus Sandberg made a kick off. Alexander Stål showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Biörk, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Rikard Ekgren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alexander Stål. That made the score 1-3 in the 55 minute of play. In the 59th match minute, Lebanon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Helander to maneuver through the defense. After 61 minutes of play, Helsingborgs IF's Birger Mellberg made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Stål was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Helsingborgs IF's Mats Näver got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Carl Markusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rasmus Sandberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svante Åström having to interfere. When Rasmus Sandberg came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Lebanon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rasmus Sandberg couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute, Birger Mellberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alexander Stål. The goal made the score 1-5. Olle Ahlroht's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Svante Åström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Rasmus Sandberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
