After a defensive mix-up in IS Halmia's zone, Michael Kellbom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jim Högberg came out of the goal and Michael Kellbom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, IS Halmia's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Kellbom came free, but Jim Högberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabian Runberg to make the kick off. With his leg Jim Högberg managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Färjestaden's Rickard Nordlund fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. IS Halmia's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Michael Kellbom 55 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Anders Dalström hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Jim Högberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rickard Nordlund in the 65th minute. Charlie Holm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Runberg in the 72nd minute of the match. Jim Högberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Kellbom in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute Fabian Runberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Holm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, Färjestaden's Vidar Svensson made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jim Högberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 84 played minutes Michael Kellbom rounded IS Halmia's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-6. In the 88th match minute, Färjestaden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andréas Rönn to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match Sakarias Lagerberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charlie Holm skillfully saved the ball. Michael Kellbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rickard Nordlund in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jim Högberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Färjestaden's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
