Spectators: 7335 (Terracing: 5503, Seating: 1687, VIP seats: 145) In the 7th minute Börje Engström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvid Sjöö saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grundsund RK's Nils Vennerlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Grundsund RK from getting a goal against them. Folke Juhlin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The long shot by Jörn Bergendahl in the 11th minute really tested Nils Vennerlund's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Magnus Ahlbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Börje Engström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arvid Sjöö came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Grundsund RK's Magnus Ahlbom. But to his dismay, Magnus Ahlbom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Juoksengi's Arvid Sjöö played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Engström in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Juoksengi's goal looked a bit too open when Magnus Ahlbom came free, but Arvid Sjöö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22ndth minute of the game Magnus Ahlbom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juoksengi's Arvid Sjöö was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Börje Engström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grundsund RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börje Engström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Juoksengi's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Engström came free, but Arvid Sjöö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute of the match Mikael Nordin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arvid Sjöö showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Grundsund RK! When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, Juoksengi's Jörn Bergendahl got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nils Vennerlund. In the 42nd minute, Magnus Ahlbom made a precise shot to the right of Arvid Sjöö. Juoksengi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When Magnus Ahlbom came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Grundsund RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magnus Ahlbom couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magnus Ahlbom to make the kick off. A collision led to Juoksengi getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ove Åberg hit a great ball. In the 56th match minute, Grundsund RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Bergman to maneuver through the defense. In the 58thth minute of the game Håkan Skoog who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grundsund RK's Nils Vennerlund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Magnus Ahlbom was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Grundsund RK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Magnus Ahlbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lars-Erik Holm struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Arvid Sjöö didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grundsund RK. In the 68th minute, one of Juoksengi:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Juoksengi. A collision led to Grundsund RK getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Magnus Ahlbom hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Grundsund RK's Magnus Ahlbom slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arvid Sjöö. That made the score 1-5 after 74 minutes of play. 81 minutes into the match, Magnus Ahlbom dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arvid Sjöö, 1-6. In the 85th minute, Magnus Ahlbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lars-Erik Holm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arvid Sjöö stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Magnus Ahlbom's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Bengt Hurtig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mikael Nordin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arvid Sjöö. Juoksengi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Grundsund RK's Magnus Ahlbom in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Juoksengi's goalie prevented a goal. Nils Vennerlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Skoog in the 99th minute of play. When the match was over Grundsund RK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Juoksengi throughout the match.
