After 20 minutes, Pontus Wennerström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juoksengi and the Broaryd players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee showed Rutger Gudmundsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Håkan Skoog got free with Ralf Matsson in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dick Dahlberg to make the kick off. Jörn Bergendahl, 53 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Håkan Skoog in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ralf Matsson saved Broaryd from getting behind. In the 55th minute of the game, Isak Hermansson landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Oliver Nordström's late challenge caught a Juoksengi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliver Nordström helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Broaryd's Oliver Nordström got a free kick in the 57th minute. Jonas Vikström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvid Sjöö having to interfere. In the 65th minute of the match Stig Myhr shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arvid Sjöö showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Jonas Vikström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Arvid Sjöö was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fritz Löv took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arvid Sjöö. Arvid Sjöö dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Arvid Sjöö showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fritz Löv, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Fritz Löv fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvid Sjöö having to interfere. Arvid Sjöö made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Vikström in the 93rd minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Broaryd walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
