Spectators: 6676 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bengt-Åke Rolandsson started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Vimmerby getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Karl-Johan Lundström hit a great ball. Bo Johansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Hedberg having to interfere. If Bengt-Åke Rolandsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Bohlin in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars-Erik Hedberg saved Vimmerby from getting behind. In the 22nd minute, Bo Johansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walter Lundström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Eckegren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Fagerfjäll got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Åke Carlberg. Lars-Erik Hedberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Bohlin in the 36th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vimmerby's zone, Joel Bohlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars-Erik Hedberg came out of the goal and Joel Bohlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Bo Johansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the match, Fagerfjäll's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Åke Rolandsson came free, but Tommy Eckegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bo Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Bohlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Hedberg having to interfere. A collision led to Fagerfjäll getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Sven-Åke Carlberg hit a great ball. Tommy Eckegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Lundström in the 64th minute of play. Tommy Eckegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elliot Lundin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uno Berg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Tommy Eckegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd play minute Bo Johansson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lars-Erik Hedberg. 0-1. Lars-Erik Hedberg made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Bo Johansson sent off a good shot on target. Fagerfjäll's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
