Rune Hermansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Torsberg having to interfere. Arne Asserlindh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Torsberg having to interfere. Anders Torsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Asserlindh in the 21st minute of play. A hard shot 21 in the game by Pär Hökqvist from a close distance when the talented Anders Torsberg managed to make a qualified save. Jespers IF's players were relieved. Arne Asserlindh received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anders Torsberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Arne Asserlindh slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 22nd minute. Björn Billing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rune Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Arne Asserlindh came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Falköping BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arne Asserlindh couldn't finish the play. Patrik Hedman did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Anders Torsberg 35 minutes into the match. Pär Hökqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Torsberg having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 56 minutes, Thomas Gråberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Falköping BF and the Jespers IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jespers IF booed when Falköping BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Gråberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Lukas Willig from long distance, 57 minutes into the match, got Björn Billing's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 61 played minutes Jespers IF got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Lagerberg. Marcus Lagerberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Björn Billing made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Arne Asserlindh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Falköping BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Arne Asserlindh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anders Torsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pär Hökqvist in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anders Torsberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th minute Nils Lindberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Billing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 78 minutes on the clock, Thomas Gråberg commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Falköping BF! Falköping BF's Björn Billing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Lundberg in the 82nd minute of play. Anders Torsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Hedman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arne Asserlindh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Arne Asserlindh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Falköping BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Arne Asserlindh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anders Torsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Arne Asserlindh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Arne Asserlindh came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Falköping BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arne Asserlindh couldn't finish the play. Falköping BF's Björn Billing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Falköping BF from getting a goal against them. There was no doubt that Falköping BF were the better team. Falköping BF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
