Rikard Hagström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Asserlindh in the 5th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes Falköping BF got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Niguel. In the 10th minute of the match Fritz Håkansson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Björn Billing skillfully saved the ball. Arne Asserlindh struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Rikard Hagström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falköping BF. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vidar Ekeroth during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to BK Mean Machine getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Vidar Ekeroth hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Arne Asserlindh made a precise shot to the right of Rikard Hagström. BK Mean Machine's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Bertil Bergfelt charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bertil Bergfelt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, BK Mean Machine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertil Bergfelt to maneuver through the defense. BK Mean Machine's Rikard Hagström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pär Hökqvist in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute of the match Falköping BF got a corner. BK Mean Machine's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Domingo Niguel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Björn Billing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Arne Klint in the 29th minute of the match. After 30 minutes, Arne Asserlindh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Falköping BF and the BK Mean Machine players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of BK Mean Machine booed when Falköping BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Asserlindh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pär Hökqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rikard Hagström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, BK Mean Machine's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Utfal came free, but Rikard Hagström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arne Asserlindh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Falköping BF's Thomas Gråberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Thomas Gråberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Falköping BF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Thomas Gråberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Arne Asserlindh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, Falköping BF's goalkeeper Björn Billing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Åke Hasselqvist.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arne Asserlindh was the one to do the kick off. BK Mean Machine's Rikard Hagström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Hedman in the 54th minute of play. If Arne Asserlindh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The throw-in from Bertil Bergfelt in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Falköping BF's Patrik Hedman. If Patrik Hedman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arne Asserlindh got free with Rikard Hagström in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in BK Mean Machine's zone, Arne Asserlindh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rikard Hagström came out of the goal and Arne Asserlindh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the game, Arne Asserlindh recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rikard Hagström. Arne Asserlindh showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. Bertil Bergfelt made in the 75th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Michael Jespersson however managed to control. 4-3 became the score in the 76th minute when Sven-Arne Klint elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Björn Billing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Jespersson in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Thor Hellström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Patrik Hedman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arne Asserlindh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rikard Hagström having to interfere. Falköping BF's Arne Asserlindh got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrik Hedman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Falköping BF's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because BK Mean Machine had won, even though Falköping BF had held more of the ball.
