The referee ignored Holmsjö FK's protests and gave Kjell Olenberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Holmsjö FK got a freekick which was hit by Kjell Olenberg. When Kjell Olenberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 24 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Holmsjö FK's Kjell Olenberg got a free kick in the 24th minute. Einar Lööf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Linberg having to interfere. But to his dismay, Tansu Malkoçoğlu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Tansu Malkoçoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orvar Åström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Süruri Talayman in the 45th minute. Orvar Åström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tansu Malkoçoğlu in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47thth minute of the game Sven-Olof Sjöström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Norrköping IF's Orvar Åström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ove Norberg was the one to do the kick off. Holmsjö FK's Mark Linberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Holmsjö FK from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Tansu Malkoçoğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orvar Åström was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Orvar Åström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tansu Malkoçoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Norrköping IF's goal looked a bit too open when Tansu Malkoçoğlu came free, but Orvar Åström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Holmsjö FK booed when Norrköping IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Erik Stensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Holmsjö FK's Tansu Malkoçoğlu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orvar Åström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Holmsjö FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Holmsjö FK had played much better football throughout.
