Spectators: 6786 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1686, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mellösa BF's Sven-Erik Gustafsson managed to work through Rengsjö BF's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Sven-Erik Gustafsson dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Pär Fribäck kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Mellösa BF's Patrik Skoog broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dan Beneth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ted Wennerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Erik Gustafsson in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Rengsjö BF getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Birger Mager hit a great ball. Sven-Erik Gustafsson scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Wennerberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Beneth in the 26th minute of play forced Rengsjö BF's goalkeeper Ted Wennerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Sven-Erik Gustafsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ted Wennerberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ted Wennerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Erik Gustafsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Yngve Öberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Dan Beneth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ted Wennerberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 43rd minute Dan Beneth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Wennerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes Rengsjö BF got a freekick which was hit by Tom Löfkvist. In the 45th minute, Dan Beneth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hubert Bergren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Rengsjö BF got a freekick which was hit by Pär Fribäck. In the 56th minute Sven-Erik Gustafsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Wennerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Hubert Bergren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Göran Norberg was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 60th match minute, Mellösa BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Lundblad to maneuver through the defense. Hubert Bergren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Göran Norberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ted Wennerberg came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Mellösa BF's Sven-Erik Gustafsson. But to his dismay, Sven-Erik Gustafsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 74th minute, Hubert Bergren made a precise shot to the right of Göran Norberg. Mellösa BF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Dan Beneth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ted Wennerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Beneth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Wennerberg having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Sven-Erik Gustafsson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 92nd match minute, Rengsjö BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Löfkvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Patrik Skoog sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Rengsjö BF's Ted Wennerberg didn't even have to move. Sven-Erik Gustafsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
