Johan Lundblad hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Jonas Torstensson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mellösa BF's Göran Norberg didn't even have to move. In the 13th minute, Sven-Erik Gustafsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 16 minutes, Sven-Erik Gustafsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mellösa BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Erik Gustafsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute Dan Beneth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hjalmar Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 minutes of play, Mellösa BF's Sven-Erik Gustafsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hjalmar Nyman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Johan Lundblad kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Sven-Erik Gustafsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hjalmar Nyman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, Mellösa BF's Sven-Erik Gustafsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hjalmar Nyman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Dan Beneth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. Everöds IF's Hjalmar Nyman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Erik Gustafsson in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Mellösa BF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Kielberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Dag Samuelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carl Eriksson hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. If Martin Kielberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dan Beneth came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Mellösa BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Beneth couldn't finish the play. Everöds IF's Hjalmar Nyman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Everöds IF from getting a goal against them. Dan Beneth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Hjalmar Nyman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute Sven-Erik Gustafsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hjalmar Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mellösa BF booed when Everöds IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigvard Nyström didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Everöds IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Erik Gustafsson came free, but Hjalmar Nyman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Beneth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dan Beneth struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Hjalmar Nyman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mellösa BF. In the 83rd minute, Everöds IF's Stellan Björklund seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Stellan Björklund the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Everöds IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Stellan Björklund had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 83rd minute, one of Everöds IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Everöds IF. The goalkeeper, Hjalmar Nyman, was totally fooled by Mellösa BF's Patrik Skoog, who 85 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Everöds IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Sven-Erik Gustafsson scored to the left of an out of position Hjalmar Nyman, making the score, 0-4. Hjalmar Nyman made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Dan Beneth sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Hjalmar Nyman managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when Mellösa BF's Dan Beneth fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mellösa BF played a much better game than Everöds IF and deserved their victory. The Everöds IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
