The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aron Bredberg in the 8th minute of play forced Östersunds Marsvin's goalkeeper August Asklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Philip Karlsson made a precise shot to the right of Konrad Kjellqvist. Skääg IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Östersunds Marsvin booed when Skääg IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell-Arne Bergman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Karl-Ove Levander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Skääg IF's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Törnblom came free, but Konrad Kjellqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Philip Karlsson sped through Skääg IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Konrad Kjellqvist. Henry Vase hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Philip Karlsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Konrad Kjellqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Philip Karlsson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute, Simon Ingemarsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aron Bredberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Östersunds Marsvin got a freekick which was hit by Jim Kollberg. Christian Törnblom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Konrad Kjellqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Skääg IF's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Törnblom came free, but Konrad Kjellqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. August Asklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Ingemarsson in the 65th minute of play. Aron Bredberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. August Asklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Törnblom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konrad Kjellqvist having to interfere. August Asklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Bredberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Karl-Ove Bammerman kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Östersunds Marsvin's Philip Karlsson got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Skääg IF's zone, Philip Karlsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konrad Kjellqvist came out of the goal and Philip Karlsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Östersunds Marsvin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Östersunds Marsvin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
