Spectators: 6664 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sture Nyström took the kick off in the first half of the match. Sven Mårtensson came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Mjölby's Ove Ståhlberg. But to his dismay, Ove Ståhlberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Sven Mårtensson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ove Ståhlberg in the 13th minute. Sture Nyström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Mårtensson having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kent Lindblom during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes Slite got a freekick which was hit by Kent Lindblom. Sven Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sture Nyström in the 20th minute of play. Sture Nyström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mjölby's Ove Ståhlberg got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sture Nyström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Mårtensson having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Sture Nyström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mjölby's supporters rose to their feet, but Sture Nyström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven Mårtensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mjölby's Sture Nyström got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Folke Tönnberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Slite's Rudolf Jonasson got a free kick in the 56th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Folke Tönnberg in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erik Johnsson saved Mjölby from getting behind. Sven Mårtensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Ståhlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Slite's Folke Tönnberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Erik Johnsson. Erik Johnsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Slite's goalkeeper Sven Mårtensson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Slite's goal looked a bit too open when Evert Walmarsson came free, but Sven Mårtensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folke Tönnberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Erik Johnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elof Malmberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Erik Johnsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 80th minute Folke Tönnberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Johnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Slite's Folke Tönnberg in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mjölby's goalie prevented a goal. 90 minutes into the game, Egon Jansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mjölby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Slite the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mjölby fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! Erik Johnsson had in the 91stth minute some difficulties stopping Frank Linqvist's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The corner led Slite's Frank Linqvist to fire away a dangerous shot which Erik Johnsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sven Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sture Nyström in the 94th minute of play. If Ove Ståhlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Ståhlberg in the 98th minute of play forced Slite's goalkeeper Sven Mårtensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leif Öberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 101st minute. Sven Mårtensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
