Melker Hybbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Melker Hybbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pål Stigsson having to interfere. In the 14th minute Karl-Magnus Byström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Sandell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Sundborn's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Ove Sjö came free, but Jonatan Sandell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Olov Giliusson in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sundborn's Erling Lindström. Pål Stigsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melker Hybbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Erling Lindström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Pål Stigsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ola Biörling came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Sundborn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ola Biörling couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Sundborn getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Erling Lindström hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the game, Olov Falkrantz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Pål Stigsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Väskinde IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sundborn were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olov Falkrantz made a kick off. Karl-Magnus Byström scored 1-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonatan Sandell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonatan Sandell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Hjelm in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Sundborn's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Ove Sjö came free, but Jonatan Sandell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Sundborn booed when Väskinde IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Stålman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Gilbert Hjelm left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Väskinde IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Olov Giliusson made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sundborn's Erling Lindström. Olov Falkrantz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Pål Stigsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sundborn's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
