When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Niklas Törnblom sped through Lillbo Hunters's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bengt-Åke Wahlnäs. After a defensive mix-up in Lillbo Hunters's zone, Niklas Törnblom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt-Åke Wahlnäs came out of the goal and Niklas Törnblom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Niklas Törnblom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Otters FK's Jan Blanck got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 14th minute of the match Håkan Kielberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ralf Kellberg skillfully saved the ball. Otters FK's Ralf Kellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Nordkvist in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Otters FK getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jan Blanck hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute Niklas Törnblom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Wahlnäs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute Sakarias Vennerlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Kellberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 played minutes Lillbo Hunters got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Nordkvist. Alex Malmgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralf Kellberg having to interfere. Alex Malmgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Ralf Kellberg made a huge save. Otters FK's Ralf Kellberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Otters FK from getting a goal against them. Urban Gustafsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Bengt-Åke Wahlnäs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximilian Asserlindh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bengt-Åke Wahlnäs having to make a save. In the 46th minute Niklas Törnblom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Wahlnäs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute, Sakarias Vennerlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Blanck kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Ralf Kellberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Malmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niklas Törnblom in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt-Åke Wahlnäs saved Lillbo Hunters from getting behind. Ralf Kellberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Oskar Månsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otters FK's Ralf Kellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sakarias Vennerlund in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Niklas Törnblom had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bengt-Åke Wahlnäs. Lillbo Hunters's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niklas Törnblom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sakarias Vennerlund in the 75th minute of play forced Otters FK's goalkeeper Ralf Kellberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Lillbo Hunters booed when Otters FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Blanck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ralf Kellberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sakarias Vennerlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Niklas Törnblom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes Lillbo Hunters got a freekick which was hit by Per-Oskar Månsson. In the 88thth minute of the game Niklas Törnblom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lillbo Hunters's Bengt-Åke Wahlnäs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Otters FK's goal looked a bit too open when Sakarias Vennerlund came free, but Ralf Kellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Per-Oskar Månsson fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lillbo Hunters's protests and gave Per-Oskar Månsson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Otters FK booed when Lillbo Hunters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Oskar Månsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ralf Kellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Malmgren in the 97th minute of play.
