Kurt Hellbom had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Vincent Godholm's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Martin Palmquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Hellbom having to interfere. Stefan Böcklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th match minute, Trehörningsjö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulf Harman to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Trehörningsjö's goalkeeper Kurt Hellbom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Palmquist. Martin Palmquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Kurt Hellbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurt Hellbom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Palmquist in the 21st minute. The supporters of Trehörningsjö booed when Hjortkvarn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Göransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kenny Ekegren struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Sven-Edvin Pååk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trehörningsjö. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Böcklund in the 28th minute of play forced Trehörningsjö's goalkeeper Kurt Hellbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Hjortkvarn getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Lars Ström hit a great ball. In the 30th minute of the match Klas Tunström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sven-Edvin Pååk showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute, Kenny Ekegren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sven-Edvin Pååk was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Stefan Böcklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Kurt Hellbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Trehörningsjö's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Böcklund came free, but Kurt Hellbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurt Hellbom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefan Böcklund's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Kurt Hellbom came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Hjortkvarn's Martin Palmquist. But to his dismay, Martin Palmquist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carl Bergqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Hjortkvarn's Stefan Böcklund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kurt Hellbom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Kurt Hellbom came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Hjortkvarn's Stefan Böcklund. But to his dismay, Stefan Böcklund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Stefan Böcklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulf Harman was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Stefan Böcklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Hellbom having to interfere. Kurt Hellbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Palmquist in the 88th minute of play. Kurt Hellbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Böcklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Kurt Hellbom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfons Willig's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Kenny Ekegren struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Sven-Edvin Pååk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trehörningsjö. Hjortkvarn's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
