In the 9thth minute of the game Yngve Pååk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skogsluffarna's Jan-Åke Andersson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute, Ludwig Tinglöv got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute, Helgum's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ludwig Tinglöv fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Philip Wallengren made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Ludwig Tinglöv sent off a good shot on target. With 21 minutes on the clock, Conny Kilström commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 20 minutes into the game, one of Helgum:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for Skogsluffarna. Sigvard Dahlkvist stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Philip Wallengren. 1-0. Ludwig Tinglöv's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Philip Wallengren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Kent Kråk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esbjörn Kinell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Philip Wallengren managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Skogsluffarna's Ludwig Tinglöv fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Skogsluffarna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sigvard Dahlkvist in the 42nd minute. After taking down the ball on Skogsluffarna's corner Sigvard Dahlkvist fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Philip Wallengren quite easily take care of the ball. Philip Wallengren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ludwig Tinglöv in the 45th minute. Peder Asklund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philip Wallengren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Yngve Pååk made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Skogsluffarna's Ludwig Tinglöv sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Philip Wallengren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Helgum's Philip Wallengren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peder Asklund in the 57th minute of play. Ludwig Tinglöv received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Philip Wallengren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peder Asklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Wallengren having to interfere. When Skogsluffarna's Peder Asklund in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Helgum's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Helgum's zone, Peder Asklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Wallengren came out of the goal and Peder Asklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esbjörn Kinell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Andersson having to interfere. Philip Wallengren came out of the goal and Ludwig Tinglöv tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Ludwig Tinglöv ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philip Wallengren was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 92nd minute, Peder Asklund had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Kent Groth's late challenge caught a Skogsluffarna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kent Groth helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes Helgum got a freekick which was hit by Kent Groth. Helgum's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
