Philip Wallengren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Per-Olof Ersman went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 10 minutes, Esbjörn Kinell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Helgum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esbjörn Kinell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute Jesper Hökkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Linus Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Gunnar Hökqvist lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Philip Wallengren. Philip Wallengren made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Per-Olof Ersman sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Gunnar Hökqvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Philip Wallengren. That made the score 3-0 in the 20 minute of play. Philip Wallengren made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Per-Olof Ersman sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute, one of Helgum:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Helgum. The goalkeeper, Philip Wallengren, was totally fooled by FC EMMA's Jörgen Melin, who 30 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 40 played minutes Helgum got a freekick which was hit by Conny Kilström. Gunnar Hökqvist hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC EMMA booed when Helgum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent Kråk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jörgen Melin in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philip Wallengren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Per-Olof Ersman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Per-Olof Ersman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Linus Forsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesper Hökkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Per-Olof Ersman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Philip Wallengren was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. The Helgum fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Philip Wallengren should have stopped the shot. 74 minutes into the match, FC EMMA's Gunnar Hökqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Philip Wallengren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörgen Melin in the 81st minute of play forced Helgum's goalkeeper Philip Wallengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gunnar Hökqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jörgen Melin in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip Wallengren saved Helgum from getting behind. Philip Wallengren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Hökqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When FC EMMA's Per-Olof Ersman in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Helgum's goalie prevented a goal. 89 minutes into the match, Helgum's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Melin came free, but Philip Wallengren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Per-Olof Ersman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jörgen Melin in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip Wallengren saved Helgum from getting behind. There was no doubt that FC EMMA were the better team. FC EMMA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
