After 9 played minutes Vankiva IK got a freekick which was hit by Edwin Lundkvist. André Kielstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tord Holmberg in the 10th minute of play. Ingmar Nyberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Kielstedt having to interfere. Kristian Hedman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joar Juhlin having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ingmar Nyberg got free with André Kielstedt in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, Stjärnsund RK's Tord Holmberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Kielstedt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Vankiva IK's zone, Evert Alströmmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Kielstedt came out of the goal and Evert Alströmmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tord Holmberg in the 48th minute of play forced Vankiva IK's goalkeeper André Kielstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Tord Holmberg made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Ingmar Nyberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ingmar Nyberg took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised André Kielstedt. André Kielstedt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. André Kielstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tord Holmberg in the 58th minute of the match. Ingmar Nyberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Kielstedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ingmar Nyberg ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Tord Holmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stjärnsund RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tord Holmberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Kielstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stjärnsund RK's goalkeeper Joar Juhlin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 71 minutes, Mattias Karlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stjärnsund RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mattias Karlsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Ingmar Nyberg made a precise shot to the right of André Kielstedt. Vankiva IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Vankiva IK's André Kielstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tord Holmberg in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute Tord Holmberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Kielstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jon Askstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Tord Holmberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Edwin Lundkvist came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Vankiva IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edwin Lundkvist couldn't finish the play.
