After 13 played minutes Björneborg BF got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Bergren. Thomas Gudmundsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Stolpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Christer Gabrielsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Gudmundsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edwin Ersman's late challenge caught a Dribladori's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dribladori's Thomas Gudmundsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Stolpe in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Dribladori's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Bergren came free, but Thomas Gudmundsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Björneborg BF's Peter Stolpe got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo José Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute Gunnar Bergren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Gudmundsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gunnar Bergren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Thomas Gudmundsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vidar Jespersson to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Björneborg BF got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Bergren. Thomas Gudmundsson made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Gunnar Bergren sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Vidar Jespersson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peder Ugla was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. If Vidar Jespersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Costandin in the 81st minute of play forced Björneborg BF's goalkeeper Peder Ugla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Gudmundsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christer Gabrielsson went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Peder Ugla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vidar Jespersson in the 92nd minute of the match. The supporters of Dribladori booed when Björneborg BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Gabrielsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Björneborg BF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
