One of Ängelholm:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chalus FC:s goal. 17 minutes into the game, Ludwig Berglund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chalus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ängelholm the free kick. The supporters of Ängelholm booed when Chalus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludwig Berglund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chalus FC's Karl-Magnus Asserlindh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Martinsson in the 24th minute of play. After 25 played minutes Chalus FC got a freekick which was hit by Jim Hägg. If Torgny Bjurström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolf Vidman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Hägg in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ängelholm's zone, Torgny Bjurström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolf Vidman came out of the goal and Torgny Bjurström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Torgny Bjurström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Magnus Asserlindh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Ahlén in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Torgny Bjurström to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes Ängelholm's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anton Stenkvist who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ängelholm's goalie and right to Jim Hägg. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ängelholm's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After having played for 59 minutes, Ludwig Berglund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chalus FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludwig Berglund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Torgny Bjurström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolf Vidman was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Rolf Vidman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torgny Bjurström's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgny Bjurström in the 69th minute of play forced Ängelholm's goalkeeper Rolf Vidman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim Hägg struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Rolf Vidman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chalus FC. There was no doubt that Chalus FC were the better team. Chalus FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
