Jan-Åke Jönsätt might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronny Boklund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan-Åke Jönsätt ran back to his position shaking his head. 26 minutes into the game, Edenberga BK's Göran Bryngelsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Torsten Sundling made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 31 played minutes Åshöjdens BK got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Westerstrand. 35 minutes into the match, Åshöjdens BK's goal looked a bit too open when Göran Bryngelsson came free, but Torsten Sundling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Åshöjdens BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Åke Jönsätt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronny Boklund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
