Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 1) Väddö's Kurt Vallman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Höganäs United booed when Väddö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Sundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stig-Åke Hallgren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sven Björkkvist. Väddö's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 7th minute, Bengt-Rune Wikander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herbert Nilsson scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven Björkkvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Herbert Nilsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Elof Apelkvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven Björkkvist. Väddö's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elof Apelkvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Herbert Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Elof Apelkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven Björkkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Nilsson in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Vallman in the 31st minute of play forced Höganäs United's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Odman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Kurt Vallman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sven-Ove Odman, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Elof Apelkvist made the kick off in the second half. If Elof Apelkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 minutes, Bengt-Rune Wikander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Väddö and the Höganäs United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Höganäs United's zone, Stefan Cane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Ove Odman came out of the goal and Stefan Cane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Höganäs United's Elof Apelkvist in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Väddö's goalie prevented a goal. In the 73rd minute, Höganäs United's Elof Apelkvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sven Björkkvist. Sven Björkkvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Cane in the 76th minute of play forced Höganäs United's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Odman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bengt-Rune Wikander was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Bengt-Rune Wikander hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herbert Nilsson got free with Sven Björkkvist in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sven Björkkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elof Apelkvist in the 82nd minute of the match. Herbert Nilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Sven Björkkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stefan Cane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven Björkkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elof Apelkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the game, Kurt Vallman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Väddö's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Höganäs United the free kick. Kurt Vallman kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Väddö's zone, Herbert Nilsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Björkkvist came out of the goal and Herbert Nilsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
