The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Albohm during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th minute, Fabian Albohm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulf Beck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eskil Pilberg in the 7th minute of play. Börge Melin hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Kjell-Arne Nilsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karl-Johan Lindqvist in the 15th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl-Johan Lindqvist got free with Kjell-Arne Nilsson in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, FC Gulag's Jonatan Vacker dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. FC Gulag's Fabian Albohm quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Per-Åke Jönsson, made in the 28th minute of the game. FC Joeystyle's Kjell-Arne Nilsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save FC Joeystyle from getting a goal against them. Kjell Norberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ulf Beck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kjell Norberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kjell Norberg made a kick off. Kjell Norberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Joeystyle's Eskil Pilberg got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eskil Pilberg got free with Ulf Beck in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eskil Pilberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Beck having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Alf Salkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Gulag and the FC Joeystyle players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alf Salkvist hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. When Karl-Johan Lindqvist came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the FC Gulag fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Johan Lindqvist couldn't finish the play. After having played for 84 minutes, Kjell Norberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Joeystyle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell Norberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Gulag's Ulf Beck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save FC Gulag from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, FC Joeystyle's Alfons Ambjörnsson got a free kick in the 91st minute. Ragnar Arenius walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Eskil Pilberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Ulf Beck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Gulag had won after a very even match.
