Spectators: 6659 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Torsten Hedlund started the match with the kick off. Martin Ström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anton Stenman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torsten Hedlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tobias Hallgren kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Claes Beckman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Ryberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Andreas Åkesson fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Djurgården FC 's protests and gave Andreas Åkesson a yellow card for diving instead. Andreas Åkesson hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Simon Ryberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hillared's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Ryberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claes Beckman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 played minutes Hillared got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Ingemarsson. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Simon Ryberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Olof Jonasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jim Jonsson during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Djurgården FC ! In the 67th minute there was a penalty for Hillared. Torsten Ingemarsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Claes Beckman. 2-1. When Djurgården FC 's Torsten Hedlund in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee showed Ola Blomberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Hillared's zone, Torsten Hedlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Stenman came out of the goal and Torsten Hedlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Simon Ryberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Östen Fransson's late challenge caught a Hillared's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Östen Fransson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Djurgården FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Östen Fransson hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olof Jonasson in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claes Beckman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Djurgården FC 's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
